Curtis Jamal Deal was shot four times by Baltimore Police in a foot chase near the intersection of Frederick Avenue and South Monroe Street, Police Commissioner Kevin Davis said Thursday.
Police on Thursday released body cam footage in the the officer-involved shooting death of Deal, 18, of the 1100 block of Naticoke Street. He was shot and killed by an officer in southwest Baltimore Tuesday.
Police said Deal jumped out of a car the officer was following and ran. Deal had a gun, according to police. The officer came face-to-face with him in an alley and fatally shot him.

"Today is Thursday, and we could very well be planning a police funeral now," Davis said.
It was the third time in the past month Deal had been caught with a gun, police said. He’d been released on bail just the day before after facing drug charges.
Police said they did their job and locked Deal up three times. Davis said the Baltimore State's Attorney's Office also did its job by requesting no bail, but the judge gave Deal bail.
This is the first police-involved shooting of 2017.
Back in November, police released body cam footage after a man wielding two knives was shot near a bus stop in the 3300 block of Greenmount Avenue.

That same week, officers shot a man during a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Monroe Street. Officers weren’t wearing body cameras at the time.
