A low pressure system is developing to our south on the heels of a cold front that passed by yesterday. This low pressure is forecast to move northeast - just south of the Delmarva Peninsula.

Effect on Maryland:

This system will bring the chance of rain and snow as early as tonight - lasting into Friday morning for the rush hour commute. Temps will be close enough to the freezing mark to cause problems on untreated roads.

Snow Forecast:

The I-95 corridor appears to be a good cut off for snow potential & accumulation. A dusting to 1" seems most likely in these areas. The Eastern Shore will have a different scenario where up to 2"+ will be possible from Elkton to Salisbury.
