New police recruits will have to go through anti-discrimination and use-of-force de-escalation training.
Police trial board hearings will also be open to the public, and residents will be able to join those boards in some municipalities.
Among the other laws that will go into effect, parents who let underage drinking parties happen in their home will possibly face up to a year in jail.
Gambling will be legal at home, up to a certain point. Games with bets totaling $1,000 over a 24 hour period will be allowed if you're 21 or over.
Noah's Law also takes effect Saturday, which requires ignition-interlock systems for drunk drivers.
