Firefighters are battling a blaze in a six-story building under construction near the University of Maryland.
Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department spokesman Mark Brady tweets that the fire broke out Monday morning on the fifth-floor of the building in College Park.

Video from the scene shows thick plumes of smoke rising from the building.
The University of Maryland, College Park will close at 1 p.m. Monday due to poor air quality from the fire.
Students on campus are advised to stay inside with windows and doors closed. Road closures are in place.
