Monday afternoon in court, a judge told Sean Urbanski's defense attorney there was "no chance" he was getting out on bond anytime soon.
Urbanski is charged with the dead of Lt. Richard Collins III. According to police, Lt. Collins was out with two friends waiting on an Uber ride when 22-year-old Urbanski approached the group and stabbed him in the chest.
"Lt. Richard Collins III had every reason to live. He was a person who represented in every possible the very best of this community," State's Attorney Angela Alsobrooks said.
Charging documents of the incident state Urbanski yelled "Step left, step left if you know what's best for you” to Lt. Collins and a friend before stabbing him.

Urbanski's defense team claimed he was "intoxicated and incoherent" and asked for him to receive a GPS tracker and to go under house arrest. The judge deemed Urbanski as "a danger to the community" and denied bond.
Alsbrooks said that and prosecutors will leave no stone left unturned in the homicide investigation.
Investigators discovered Urbanski was part of the "Alt Reich" group, a group police say has extreme bias against women, Latinos, Jewish people and African Americans. Prince George's County Police homicide detectives are working with campus police and the FBI to determine if this was a hate crime.

"We need something probably more than just a Facebook posting," Alsobrooks said. "We want to make sure that we are very thorough before we make those conclusions."
Collins would have graduated from Bowie State on Tuesday at their Commencement Ceremony.
A preliminary hearing for Urbanski is set for June 15.
