The man arrested in the deadly stabbing on the University of Maryland College Park campus Saturday morning belonged to a Facebook group called "Alt-Reich."
"It shows extreme bias against women, Latinos, members of the Jewish faith and especially African Americans," said UMCP Police Chief David Mitchell.
Federal officials will now help determine if Sean Urbanski's motive was indeed hate based.

"Making a determination of motive especially if it's a crime based on hate it's something that has to be done with the totality of the circumstances," FBI Special Agent, Gordon Johnson, said.

Collins was supposed to graduate later this month and had been commissioned into the Army as a 2nd Lieutenant.
Officers found Collins suffering from knife wounds just after 3 a.m. Saturday morning on Regents Driver near Montgomery Hall. Paramedics rushed him to the hospital where he later died.
With the help of witnesses, officers with Prince George's County Police Department arrested Urbanski a short time after the attack. Mitchell said Sunday there are extra patrols on campus and in the P.G. County area.
Urbanski is a student at the University of Maryland. He faces first and second degree murder charges, as well as first degree assault. Police are also looking at whether to add hate crime charges.
"On no college campus should any student be in fear of their life because of their race, their sexual orientation, their religion," Dr. Artie Travis, VP of Student Affairs at Bowie State University, told ABC2.
A vigil for Collins will be held Monday evening.
