Chase had an open warrant for failure to appear in Calvert County Court, according to police.

In an update earlier this month, police said Chase was in critical condition and that there was no use of force during her arrest.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of her death.

This incident is under investigation by the Special Investigations Response Team.
