An 18-year-old wanted in connection with an attempted robbery turned shooting outside Frederick Douglass High School and another shooting near a different high school earlier this year is now behind bars.

Baltimore Police say Kyree Greene is facing a number of charges including attempted first-degree murder, armed robbery and illegal possession of a firearm.

Police believe Greene was involved in the shooting of a 16-year-old boy near Forest Park High School on May 23 and the attempted robbery of a student outside Frederick Douglass High School on June 3 that ended in an accidental shooting when the victim wrestled the gun away.

Green was arrested Thursday after police say he ran from police and threw a gun into vacant yard in west Baltimore.
