Multiple Earthquakes Strike California

Largest registering greater then 4.6 magnitude

Baltimore, MD - Multiple earthquakes have occurred between Los Angeles and San Diego California Monday Morning ranging between a 3.0 to 4.7 which are considered moderate.

The largest earthquake hit the Desert region of western California outside San Diego near Palm Desert, Ca.

The U.S. Geological Survey's automated monitoring system places the epicenter in the desert near Anza, about 100 miles southeast of Los Angeles.

Residents in San Diego and Los Angeles reported the earthquake shaking many homes and buildings on twitter.

A 5.0 to 5.9 earthquake which is classified "Moderate" can cause moderate to major damage to poorly constructed buildings. At most, none to slight damage to all other buildings.
