Senate bill could place restictions on Maryland speed cameras

A measure was passed by Maryland Senators Tuesday that would place restrictions on speed cameras.

The issue will now be sent to the House in Annapolis.

The revision of the bill regulating speed cameras basically will require two time-stamped images show progression of the vehicle, would limit the placement of the cameras in school zones but not prohibit and would require quarterly (rather than annually) calibration checks.

The bill would also have financial impacts detailed in the document below.
