COLUMBIA, Md. (WMAR) - Police are investigating an accident that left a woman dead after being struck by a car on Dobbin Road Wednesday evening.
Officials say the woman was struck on the 6500 block of Dobbin Road and McGraw Road in Columbia. They say the woman was sent to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the car stayed at the scene. Police are investigating the incident.
Dobbin Road remains closed between McGaw Road and Stanford Boulevard. Police are asking drivers to avoid the area.
