Salazar to visit Maryland to mark Tubman monument

Interior Secretary Ken Salazar is scheduled to be on the Eastern Shore of Maryland to mark the designation of the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad National Monument.
Salazar will be at the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge Center in Cambridge on Wednesday.
The monument will commemorate the life of the most famous conductor on the Underground Railroad who helped enslaved people escape to freedom.
Tubman was born in Dorchester County and spent nearly 30 years there as a slave before escaping in 1849.
