Dog killed, 3 injured in 2-car crash in Timonium

A two-car crash in Timonium ended with three trips to the hospital and the death of a dog, Baltimore County police spokesman Cpl. John Wachter said.

An Acura MDX crashed into a Chevrolet Venture Tuesday at around 12:35 p.m. at the intersection of Crowther Avenue and York Road in Timonium, Wachter said.

Two people were suffering from life-threatening injuries and taken to Baltimore hospitals. A third person involved suffered serious injuries not considered to be life-threatening.

Officials say the Acura was traveling southbound on York Road when it struck the Chevrolet mini-van, which was making a left turn onto Crowther Avenue from York Road, heading north.

The driver of the MDX was transported to Sinai Hospital. The man and woman in Venture were taken to Shock Trauma, Wachter said.

A dog riding in the Venture was killed on impact.
