Baltimore County leaders looking to improve church security

DUNDALK, Md. (WMAR) - On Monday, local leaders are looking at ways to improve church security in case of an active shooter situation.

Baltimore County delegate, Ric Metzgar, is hosting a security conference at the Eastern Assembly of God in Dundalk at 7:00 p.m. Maryland State Police, Anne Arundel County Sheriff's Office, and the Dignitary Security are all taking part.

The meeting was prompted by the deadly Texas church shooting.

On November 5, a gunman opened fire during Sunday services, killing 26 people and hurting 20 others in Sutherland Springs.
