Tips to de-stress at work

If your job is stressing you out, you are not alone.

According to a recent survey, three quarters of Americans consider work stressful.

Health experts say deep breathing will help you de-stress. They suggest getting up and moving during the day.

A brisk 10-minute walk and taking a longer route to the restroom or water cooler goes a long way.

You can also take your meeting on the road.

"Research has shown that companies that have walking meetings, where they go outside and walk around in nature they actually have more productive meetings. People get more creative in their problem solving, you're getting greater oxygenation to the brain and body and you're out in nature so it triggers a lot more creativity."

The experts say adding plants and soft colors like yellows and blues to your work space can help you feel calmer.

Organize your work area so you can focus and keep completed projects in sight, they will help give you a feeling of accomplishment and relief.
