Don't let the cold weather hurt your health

BALTIMORE - You should treat this kind of cold weather seriously because it can really be dangerous for your health if you don't.   

Use your common sense, hats, gloves, and scarves will keep you warm. And don't forget about warm socks for your feet. 

Frostbite can set in quickly in weather like this and doctors say your hands, feet, and face are at greatest risk.

Keep your gloves and shoes dry because wet hands and feet can lead to frostbite.

Some people are at greater risk for heart problems in cold weather, especially if you already have a heart condition or are out of shape.

If you plan go out for a run or walk the dog, dress in layers to stay warm.

Doctors say you should listen to your body's cues. If you're feeling tired or uncomfortable, take a break and go inside.
