Aberdeen Police: Shots fired at car with woman and young children inside

ABERDEEN, Md. (WMAR) - A woman called Aberdeen Police after she says her car was shot at while she was stopped at an intersection.

Police were called to the area of Osborn Road and Osborn Alley just before 6:30 Thursday night after reports of possible gunshots in the area. Around 30 minutes later they got a call from a woman who said her car was shot at.

During the investigation, police determined two suspects fired multiple shots towards the woman's car while she was stopped at the intersection of Roosevelt Avenue and Post Road. The car was shot at multiple times, but the woman and her two small kids inside were not hit.

Police do not think this is a random act of violence, but that the woman was purposely targeted.

The Aberdeen Police Department asks that anyone with information please contact Det. Testerman at 410-272-2121. All tips are confidential.
