Police arrest suspect in armed robbery spree

(WMAR) - Baltimore County Police, Baltimore City Police, and Anne Arundel County Police worked collectively to find and arrest an armed robbery suspect who has been linked to over 6 commercial robberies.

Police say 53-year-old Thomas Hudson has been on a robbery spree since November.

Detectives first noticed Hudson when he attempted to rob a McDonald's on Reisterstown Rd. They say he had a handgun and demanded cash out of the register. The employee of the restaurant instead ran to the back of the store thus leaving Hudson empty-handed. He later robbed a Dunkin Donuts half an hour later.

Investigators were able to locate Hudson after surveillance footage displayed him using a stolen credit card during one of his robberies and driving off in a Buick LeSabre. Robbery units then searched for his car which led them to the suspect.

During a search warrant of the car, police were able to find Hudson's gun used in the robberies. They determined it to be an air pistol.

Officials reported that Hudson is linked to robbing mainly fast food restaurants.
