Woman shot in North Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WMAR) - A woman was able to walk herself into Sinai Hospital of Baltimore after suffering a gunshot wound to her face, according to a release from Baltimore County police.

The 27-year-old woman checked herself into Sinai at about 2:27 a.m. Monday with a bullet wound to her left cheek and hand.

The woman was immediately taken into surgery for non-life threatening injuries, according to Baltimore police.

Investigators said the woman was shot in the 4700 block of Greenspring Avenue, which is roughly a mile away from the hospital.

"Anyone with information related to this incident is urged to contact Investigators at (410) 396-2455.  An update will be provided as information becomes available," the release states.
