10 People rob Annapolis store

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Police in Anne Arundel County arrested an 18-year-old as one of 10  people who robbed a store Thursday night in Annapolis, according to the department.

The suspect, Colando Colbert, was charged with armed robbery, theft and false imprisonment, according to police.

A store employee recognized Colbert by his voice, even though Colbert wore a surgical mask as he and nine others began stealing items from the shop, police said.

The employee confronted Colbert who insinuated he had a gun in his jacket. The group took "10 to 12 full boxes of candy, 5 to 6 full boxes of Slim Jims, and an unknown number of cigars and cigarillos," according to the release. "The total loss to the business was $800 to $1,000."

Colbert's bail has been set at $6,500. Police meanwhile are attempting to identify the other people involved in the robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at (410) 268-9000.
