Glen Burnie gas station robbed at gunpoint

GLEN BURNIE - Police are looking for the man who robbed a Glen Burnie gas station at gunpoint Sunday evening.

Around 7:21 p.m., Anne Arundel County police officers were called to the Atomoco gas station in the 7400 block of East Furnace Branch Road after a robbery was reported at the business.

Employees and witnesses told police a man walked into the gas station, pulled a gun and demanded money from the gas station employee, according to police.

The man stole an undetermined amount of cash and ran out of the gas station toward South Meadow Drive where witnesses say he got into a gray or silver, older model, two-door car driven by a woman, police said.

Witnesses told police the car looked like a Chevrolet Cavalier or similar car with a greenish tint to the headlights. Officers searched the area, but did not find a vehicle matching that description.

No injuries were reported.

The man was described as being 6-feet tall, 200 pounds with blue eyes and wearing a gloves, a bandanna over his face, a black jacket and dark pants. The woman is described as having brown hair.
