A couple of the new pop-ups at Cross Street Market are officially open

What does bbq, chicken soup, donuts and yogurt parfait have in common?

Well, for starters, its an interesting mix of food.

But more importantly, you'll find them at the Cross Street Market in Federal Hill.

Back in early November, Caves Valley Partners announced new pop-up eateries would be coming up at the famous market in South Baltimore. The new food spots will move in while work is done to renovate the building.

Today, Smoke is opening its doors to the public. They have a restaurant in Cockeysville, and judging by their Facebook page, they are really excited to share their smoked beef, pulled pork and bbq chicken with the people of Charm City. And we are just as excited to try it.

Also opening today is Prescription Chicken. Whatever ails you, this place has the perfect chicken soup to make you feel better, even after a long night of partying in Fed Hill. According to their Instagram feed, they are doing a soft open and offering a limited menu. I can smell it from my desk.

Joining in on the excitement is Cookie Dough & Co., which announced on Facebook it is having its grand opening this Saturday December 9 at 11 a.m. Who didn't love to eat the leftover cookie dough (okay let's be real, most of the cookie dough) when you were a kid? Cookie Dough & Co. whips up a batter that won't sicken you with salmonella and it comes in flavors like Oreo, peanut butter, and lemon drop.

There are two other pop-ups expected to join the group, Sundays and Gertie's Yummy Yogurt Bowls. No word on when they are officially opening. We will keep you posted.
