With flags flying proudly off their bikes, they started off this morning and made their way to the National Mall, but had to go the hard way.  The organizers did not have a permit to enter D.C. with such a large crowd, but that didn't stop anyone.  They took several back roads stopping traffic along the way as crowds cheered and showed their support.

Through social media, organizers informed supporters of the route so people could come and cheer  riders on as well as show their support.

According to the group's Facebook page, they plan to ride around all memorials honoring veterans.
