Randallstown, Md. - Police are investigating after a woman was shot in Randallstown Friday morning.
Before 7:20 a.m. Baltimore County Police were called to a home in the 9600 block of Axehead Court.
When they arrived, officers found a woman who had been shot. She was taken to Shock Trauma for treatment, and while a police spokeswoman initially said her injuries were potentially life-threatening, by Friday afternoon police no longer believed that to be the case.
Investigators learned the woman and her husband were in front of the home when he allegedly shot her in the upper body and drove away, according to police.
Less than 10 miles away, Baltimore County Police officers found the husband suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head inside a crashed car in the 3700 block of Liberty Heights Avenue.
He was taken to Sinai Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
While the two were married, police said he had been living elsewhere for the past few weeks.
