3 transported after fire in Northeast Baltimore

BALTIMORE - UPDATE: (6:24 a.m.) -- Three women were taken to area hospitals after flames engulfed a home in Northeast Baltimore Thursday morning.

One woman is believed to be in critical condition while the other two are listed in serious condition.

Firefighters were called to the house in the 2900 block of Glendale Avenue near Harford Road after 4 a.m. Thursday.

When crews arrived, they found two women hanging from windows. Firefighters rescued the two women then went inside where they found a third woman. The third woman is in critical condition.

Crews had subdued the flames by 5:30 a.m., but remained on scene to quell hot spots in the burning home.

Officials believe all occupants escaped the home.
