What an interesting pattern we have evolving in front of our eyes. A powerful cold front dropping temperatures into the single digits for daytime highs over Canada will march our direction for the weekend. Afternoon highs will struggle to get into the low 40s on both Saturday and Sunday. With a gusty wind in play for most of the weekend, wind chills will range between the lower to middle 30's making it feel just like winter!
A storm is expected to mature over the Ohio Valley by Monday night and early Tuesday morning. The questions to be answered in time are
1. How cold is it when the moisture arrives
2. Is the storm track north of Baltimore or south of Baltimore
3. Does the storm arrive at night or during the day.
Those three main questions will be answered going into the weekend.
Right now there are two storm tracks we are considering.
Storm Track 1 favors ALL RAIN! A storm tracking north of Baltimore would bring warm air up from the south keeping all precipitation liquid!
