Baltimore, MD - Search and rescue crews are responding to numerous towns in the northwest corner of Indianapolis metro following what the National Weather Service calls a "Large Tornado."
At least three homes have been destroyed in Hendricks County according to an emergency management official.
Officials report people being trapped in their homes in the Blue Pines neighborhood.
The tornado was first spotted on the ground in Speedway, IN shortly after 2:30 p.m. by trained storm spotters.
Residents report seeing a very large wall cloud extending from the sky down to the ground.
Numerous tornado warnings have been issued in densely populated areas.
Maryland's Most Powerful weather radar continues to detect very broad rotation as the storm continues to cycle intensities.
