Cool, cloudy and damp conditions headlined the month of May. In fact, BWI picked up an above average 5.64" of rain during the month. Only 9 days of the month were completely dry. In addition, temperatures ran very cool across the region. 20 of the 31 days of May featured below average temperatures.

While June will start off similar to May, a pattern change does look like it'll begin to take place by the second week of the month.

The Climate Prediction Center is forecasting warmer and dryer weather conditions to work their way back into Maryland by June 10.

So for the wet and weary Marylanders, hang in there. Much better weather is on the way!
