Irma is winding down - bringing rain to the Tennessee and Ohio Valleys. Maryland has also been getting the remnants of Irma in the form of light rain. More rain is on tap tomorrow along with the possibility of a few thunderstorms.

At this time, there is only one hurricane in the Atlantic Basin -Jose. Jose is a Category 1 hurricane with winds sustained at 75 mph and it is moving SE at 8 mph. The good news is Jose will not directly impact the U.S.. There may be a few rip currents or high surf at the Carolina and Virginia beaches as it makes it a jog to the north and east and heads back out to sea.

Peak hurricane season was Sept 10th but the season goes through the end of November so stay tuned!
