The last few Maryland Halloween's have been on the cool side with highs only in the upper 50s. This year is expected to be slightly milder, with temps in the 60s for the first time in 3 years. The reason for this expected change this year is the lack of warm or cold air advection, or movement. This pattern will keep us rather neutral as far as temperature swings are concerned.

One forecast trend we'll have to watch is the potential for rain Monday night (Oct. 31st). There will be a baroclinic zone of instability within the area which could produce an area of low pressure near the Mid- Atlantic. This would bring some rain to the area - but the reliability of the models is not as good two weeks out. We'll post another forecast outlook next week.
