BALTIMORE - UPDATE STORY HERE:
An extremely deep and cold trough or area of low pressure will come out of Canada slamming into very warm and very moist air settled over the Mid Atlantic and New England early next week.
Modeling differs in timing however, both models (European & GFS) show wind shear nearing 60 knots, promoting a ton of "spin" to the atmosphere.
Should the timing workout as a strong front sits over the western Maryland mountains -- the potential could exist for multiple tornadoes and or severe thunderstorms producing damaging winds and large hail along the I-81 / I-95 corridor.
There are many model runs to go to fine tune this situation. This is being considering for Monday evening and Tuesday evening. All and all our models favor rotating thunderstorms/tornadoes Tuesday afternoon
