Two powerful earthquakes struck Central Italy today - just 50 miles north of the epicenter of that deadly quake in August, which killed nearly 300 people.
Stats on the Quake:
Magnitude- 5.5. The epicenter was about 9 kilometers south-southwest of Visso.
The first quake hit at 7 p.m. (1 p.m. ET) between Perugia and Macerata.
The second quake -- with a magnitude of 6.1 -- was 3.2 kilometers (2 miles) north of Visso and 36 miles from Perugia.
