Storm system arriving late Monday night into Tuesday morning will spread beneficial rain across the region. Some of the latest models forecast greater than an inch of rain to fall across Central Maryland. In fact, some areas could see more rain this week than the past two months combined.

According to the latest Drought Monitor, 42% of the state is currently experiencing 'moderate drought' conditions. At BWI, only 0.22 inches of rain has fallen this month so far. That is a 2.51" deficit from normal.

Along with the rain, milder air will surge in across the region. Highs will climb into the mid to upper 60s Tuesday & Wednesday.
