It's hard to believe we haven't seen an 80 degree temperature in Baltimore in 6 months! After a rather snowless winter yet, chilly spring, we are finally turning the corner towards warmer then normal temperatures.
For early April our afternoon temperature should be around 62 degrees however, we are going to launch well above that! The forecast over the next several days suggest our high temperatures running 10-15 degrees ABOVE normal.
The why behind this sudden warm up is found near BERMUDA ! When high pressure develops and sits over the southeast USA we call it a Bermuda Low. What's great about this setup is the wind direction it provides. A southwesterly wind will take over today through Thursday which will lift the mild air from the southern USA into Maryland.
