Howard County offers tool for residents to receive emergency notifications

HOWARD CO., Md. - A new tool offered to Howard County residents sends alerts and notifications for free.

If you sign up for the county's NotifyMeHoward service you can stay informed with information you need sent directly to your inbox or mobile device. 

By signing up, residents automatically get emergency notifications from the National Weather Service and Howard County public safety providers, such as the Office of Emergency Management, the Howard County Police Department and the Department of Fire and Rescue Services.
