FORECAST: Weekend storm to stay south

Christmas storm potential

The weekend storm in question is no longer a concern going into Saturday. We'll see added cloud coverage, but otherwise temperatures will be below average with highs around 40 degrees.

The big question then becomes... Will a storm over the Pacific cause all sorts of issues in the east in time for Christmas?

Our forecast models continue to show a storm developing Tuesday as it phases with the northern and southern jetstream. When this happens storms become rather strong/intense. The forecast headache ahead will be: Does the storm track up the coast or stay out west.

A coastal storm tracking north would bring rain and snow to the area possibly an accumulating snow situation. While a storm track west of the region would bring heavy rain to Baltimore.
