Extensive concrete work is underway on southbound I-83, which could cause heavy delays for motorists traveling into Baltimore City.
Construction has shut down the on-ramp to North Avenue until further notice, according to the Baltimore City Department of Transportation.
Motorists will have to exit off of Interstate 83 at 28th Street, Maryland Avenue or Saint Paul Street instead.
Officials expect the road work to take approximately one week to complete.
