Looking to advance in the conference, Wilde Lake hosted Atholton in a conference show down Friday night in Columbia.

In a game dominated by defense, Wilde Lake’s front seven hung tough, not allowing Atholton to establish a run game.

In the third quarter, with a 7-3 lead, Wilde Lake senior TJ Lyles continued to carry the team on the ground and in the air. He made up for a bad snap, recovering the loose ball and taking off down the sideline. He leaped and extended for the pylon and scored.

The Wildecats kept the Raiders to just three points, grabbing the 27-3 in-conference victory.

Up next the Wildecats travel to Reservoir Friday, September 30.

Atholton hosts Hammond.
