The Towson Tigers last appeared in a NCAA national title game in 1991. Last season, head coach Shawn Nadelen's Tigers won the CAA championship, automatically qualifying for the NCAA tournament.
This year, Towson's goals remain the same, but first they have to get past Drexel.
After a win at Hofstra to finish the regular season, the Tiger's clinched homefield advantage and host the fourth-seeded Dragons Thursday.
Nadelen said his team is excited to be hosting the tournament, but isn't taking anything for granted.
"We know that Drexel is going to come in here ready to go," he said. "We gotta come out ready to go and play our best and see what happens from there."

When the two teams met in the regular season, the game was tied 3-3 at halftime. The Tigers strung together six fourth quarter goals to come away with the 11-7 win. Junior attacker Joe Seider found the back of the net three times.
The 10-8 win over High Point in the first round was Towson's first post-season victory since 2003.
Towson finished the season 4-1 in conference and 12-2 overall. In his fifth season as head coach, Nadelen has recorded his fourth-straight winning season.

The CAA tournament kicks off Thursday with the Tigers and Dragons facing off at 4 p.m. followed by Fairfield versus Hofstra at 7 p.m.
