Best coach/player duo in college sports?

There's definitely an argument for Maryland's Cathy Reese and Taylor Cummings.

They're the reining two-time national champions. Reese is entering her 10th season as the Terps' head coach. Last season she was named the IWLCA National Coach of the Year for the third time.

Cummings is one of five returning seniors. She's also a two-time Tewaarton award winner. In 2015, she was honored as the IWLCA National Midfielder for the second year in a row.

The duo has seemed unstoppable. Cummings hasn't played a season at Maryland in which the Terps didn't compete for a national championship.

In the past three seasons, the two have recorded 74 wins and just six losses; and four of those losses came in 2013.

Reese has won nine national titles - five as a coach and four as a player. She was a freshman when Maryland began an unbelievable seven-time national champion streak from 1995-2001.

This dominating duo would have another four years together if Reese had her way. Now, it's very early in lacrosse season, but maybe Terps fans can certainly expect to see an exciting season with these two.
