Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Chase
Utley hit his fourth and fifth homers of this World Series, tying ex-Yankee
Reggie Jackson's record for one Fall Classic.
In Game 5 Monday night, Utley belted a three-run homer in the first inning off
New York Yankees righty A.J. Burnett and then delivered a solo blast off Phil
Coke leading off the seventh.
Jackson hit five homers in 1977 against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Utley's second homer gave the Phillies a 7-2 lead in a game they need to
remain alive in the postseason. New York leads the best-of-seven series, 3-1.
Utley hit three solo homers off CC Sabathia earlier in this series. He is also
the second player to have a pair of multi-home run games in a single World
Series, joining Kansas City's Willie Aikens in 1980 against the Phillies.
