The Baltimore Orioles outrighted left-handed pitcher Rich Hill and right-handers Alfredo Simon and Bob McCrory to Triple-A Norfolk, the club announced on Friday.

The 29-year-old Hill appeared in only 14 games -- 13 starts -- in an injury- filled 2009. He compiled a 3-3 record with a 7.80 earned run average but was slowed by two stints on the disabled list.

He was on the DL from March 29 to May 16 with a strained pitching elbow and again from July 29 through the end of the season with left shoulder inflammation. The lefty was put on the 60-day DL on September 1 after undergoing surgery to repair a torn labrum in his pitching shoulder.

Hill, who was acquired from the Chicago Cubs in early February, has a 21-20 career record to go along with a 4.87 ERA in five seasons with the Orioles and Cubs.

Simon had an 0-1 mark with a 9.95 ERA in two starts for the O's in 2009 before having season-ending "Tommy John" ligament replacement surgery in May.

McCrory had a lofty 17.18 ERA in two appearances with Baltimore last season but had to be shut down late in the campaign due to a torn labrum in his right shoulder.
