The McDonogh Eagles swept the conference, ending the season with the MIAA title. The Eagles defeated the Boys' Latin Lakers 8-5 Friday night to earn the championship trophy.
When the Lakers and Eagles met earlier in the season, it took double overtime to crown a winner. Friday, McDonogh got the scoring started early, claiming an early lead.

McDonogh controlled the faceoffs, which allowed them to take long, methodical offensive possessions. The Laker's defense protected the net, but weren't able to convert turnovers into points.
The Eagles tallied three more in the third quarter to increase their lead.
