Howard High School baseball's historic season did not have a dream ending for the Lions.
Playing in its first state championship game in program history, Howard lost to Northwest (Montgomery County) 8-0 at Ripken Stadium.
Jaguars starting pitcher Michael Yuille had eight strikeouts.
The Lions were coming off their first region title in 19 years.
