BALTIMORE - National Park and Recreation Month's closing is celebrated in grand style today with the Boy Scouts of America Indy car on display at the historic Gwynns Falls/Leakin Park.
The car will also be driven through the urban wilderness the park provides.
The event, provided by the Chrysler Group's Street Racing Technology (SRT) and Grand Prix of Baltimore, lasts until 3 p.m. with the car on display at the outward bound entrance of Gwynns Falls Road.
"We're proud to bring ‘celebration acceleration' to the parks an entire month before the races in celebration of National Park and Recreation Month," said Grand Prix of Baltimore general manager Tim Mayer. "This is a perfect opportunity for people of all ages to venture to their local park to experience the many benefits they offer."
