Ed Reed was treated well in Houston, but that's not necessarily bad news for Ravens fans wanting to see him at M&T Bank Stadium for another season.
Reed left Houston Friday without agreeing on a deal. As he left the city, he tweeted that he had a good time.
"Houston is a good city, great time with everyone," he said.
Reports on Reed's visit described the situation using words like flirting, testing and teasing.
The Houston Chronicle reported the sides are close to a contract and negotiations would continue. A blog on the newspaper's website stated the Texans could have Reed under contract by early next week.
NFL.com reported it's rare a player doesn't sign after a private jet is used in negotiations. Yeah, Reed was picked up by a private jet and flown to Houston. According to the report, Reed texted NFL.com's Albert Breer Friday that things went well, and called the Texans "real good people."
While fans await Reed's decision, there isn't much known other than Reed hasn't made a decision, which could play well in Baltimore.
Earlier in the week, Reed said his decision would be obvious once made. "Tune in to my decision on TV. I will do it just as King James announced," he said.
