The Ravens released Justin Forsett amongst others from their roster Saturday afternoon.

Forsett had been the Ravens starting running back for the past two seasons. He played in 26 games, rushing for 1,907 yards and 10 touchdowns. The 30-year-old was just one year into a three-year deal he signed in March of 2015.

Cutting Forsett leaves just two healthy running backs on the Ravens roster - Terrance West and Buck Allen. Rookie Kenneth Dixon will be sidelined for the first few games with a knee injury.

Other players released include wide receivers Keenan Reynolds and Jeremy Butler. Safety Terrance Brooks was also cut from the 53-man roster.

The Ravens also placed Howard County native, Michael Campanaro, injured reserve. Campanaro missed time in training camp with a calf injury. He'll be placed on injured reserve for the third year in a row.
