A display of unity the NFL has really never seen before, and Ravens head coach, John Harbaugh, was right in the middle of it.
Like over a 100 others around the league, many Ravens players were kneeling during the National Anthem prior to their game in London.
Harbaugh was linking arms with his players on the sideline while standing.
He said in a press conference on Monday, he supports his players, and the beautiful thing about sports is that everyone may not agree on things, but they can still stand united as a team,
"Our team is united, we stand together as a team of brothers, and I'm proud of that. It means a lot. I'm trying to say the right things about all the big issues in our country, but I guess what I'm trying to say is what we are for is unity."
The coach also says while he will link arms, he will not take a knee for the anthem.
Ravens tight end, Ben Watson, also spoke out about Sunday's game. Watson talked to Good Morning America on Monday, and said the show of solidarity was geared more toward a presidential pushback, rather than shining a light on racial injustice,
"I think what we saw yesterday was really an emotional response to the words of President Trump. Those words really cut deep on a number of levels for a lot of us. And not just for guys in the locker room, but guys outside. And I think that we saw the influx and the increase in guys protesting. While many of them are concerned about those issues, and rightfully so, part of what we saw yesterday was a direct response to the president's comments."
Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti also issued the following statement on the events,
"We recognize our players' influence. We respect their demonstration and support them 100 percent. All voices need to be heard. That's democracy in its highest form."
As for whether these protests will continue this upcoming Sunday when the Ravens return home to face the Pittsburgh Steelers, Harbaugh says he hasn't given it much thought.
The Steelers, who did not come out for the anthem last week, released a statement on Monday saying they will be present for the anthem this Sunday.
