After giving up a single game, franchise-worst 231 yards rushing in an ugly 27-24 overtime loss to the Bears, the Ravens got some much needed reinforcements for Wednesday’s practice.

Defensive tackle Brandon Williams returned to the field after missing the last four games with a foot injury.

“It feels good. Obviously out there first day trying to get back. Feels like I never left,” said Williams. “I’m just a guy who is working to get back on the field. That’s all I’m doing. Today felt good. I’ve got two more days to go. Hopefully I’ll be back soon.”

“He looks good, man,” said defensive tackle Michael Pierce. “Didn’t look like he missed a step. He did great in inside run drills and all the drills at practice. I think he’s in good shape. We’re happy to have him back.”

Williams’ status is up in the air for Sunday’s visit to Minnesota.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the ball, a point of emphasis is to somehow get Baltimore’s 29th ranked offense on track. Getting better inside the 20 yard line is key.

“We’ve got to execute. We’re not doing as good a job in the red zone as we need to to score points,” said head coach John Harbaugh.

“We’re identifying some of the issues and what they are and some of the things that are happening,” said quarterback Joe Flacco. “But, I could stand up here all day and talk scheme and things like that. We know what the issues are and we’re working on getting better at them.”

It would help if the receivers would hold onto the ball. Dropped passes plagued Flacco’s targets last Sunday. Still, the quarterback says they can’t worry about that.

“The biggest thing for those guys is to continue to know that I have confidence in them,” he said. “I let them know, listen, we’re prepared. Every one of us is as prepared as we can be.”

As for the Vikings, they come into Sunday 4-2, winners of two straight games.  They’ll likely have backup quarterback Case Keenum under center.  With Sam Bradford nursing a knee injury.
