The Maryland Terrapins football game was temporarily suspended and Byrd Stadium evacuated Saturday over weather concerns.
Around 1:30 p.m., the Terps announced on Twitter that lightning was within 10 miles of the stadium.
WEATHER ADVISORY - Lightning is within 10 miles of Byrd Stadium. The game has been suspended until weather poses no further danger.

The stadium was evacuated and game play suspended until the weather cleared.
The stadium was reopened to fans around 2:30 p.m.
